Grace once again came in third and it has proved the fact that the top three is truly fantastic because she had easily won the title had she been part of any season other than this one like Kelly Clarkson, her predecessor. Lionel Richie, the judge has also expressed shock at the announcement and said that it is going to be ridiculous to lose any one of them.
It has been argued that the power singers Willie and Grace gave a stunning performance on Sunday as they were over-the-top and bold and wanted to win this title more than the chilled out Chayce who has been proclaimed ultimately as the upcoming American Idol. But the forklift operator belonging to the Apple Valley and the songwriter and singer who achieved the first position in the country chart of Apple Music last week with his track ‘23’ written by him had an arduous and long journey to get to the winner circle of American Idol. The autobiographical lyrics of ‘23’ revealed and spoke about how he battled alcoholism.
On the finale on Sunday, the 24-year-old has said that he is a broken person after performing for a long time. He also said that he is a bit more healed and told this to Bobby Bones, the mentor. After that incident, he had hit rock-bottom and confessed the fact that he had become much soberer. He also said that he was like a loose cannon before the crash and used to do whatever he felt like until the time he had to bear the brunt of the consequences. It was the worst night of his entire life but it leads him to the moment of self-realization as he went on to turn his life around.
Viewers were pretty much outraged as Chayce was invited by Luke Bryan, the judge to go out for a fishing date with him. Ryan also joked about it and said that it is going to involve some amount of beer and it is going to be quite shocking for Chayce.
