Famous female pianist Sandra Mogensen will have her second performance at ‘Virtual House Concert’, entitled “of love & everything”, on Sunday, February 28 that will start streaming from 8 pm GMT / 12 pm Pacific. Tickets are available for $25 Canadian / $19.70 US on the website.
I will be an all-female music program that includes piano music from celebrated international musicians like Florence Price, Zenobia Powell Perry, Betty Jackson King, Julia Perry, Valerie Capers, Regina Harris Baiocchi, & Eleanor Alberga, with the poetry of Mari Evans.
The staggering piano play is not the only thing that is stored for the streamers. Famed actor Yanna McIntosh is going to join Sandra Mogensen on this exceptional entertaining programmer. She is honored to read the poems of Mari Evans (1923-2017).
Yanna McIntosh is a famous Jamaican-Canadian actress and she has been performing LIVE in theatres and on film sets all over Canada. “When I was small, my mother, Icil, a single mother and new immigrant working as a legal secretary, invested in piano lessons for me, and, before long, an actual piano became a fixture in our living room. I am honored to join Ms. Mogensen in shining light on these black women poets and composers,” she said, being a closet pianist.
The virtual live show will focus on BIPOC composers, Black composers, Contemporary, Kid-friendly, and other magnificent musical genres.
