K-pop Festival in India by HYBE: The Country Prepares for the Biggest K-fest

India might be becoming the biggest festival ground for K-pop fans as news reveals that HYBE is considering India as the next potential ground for K-pop touring. The Mega K-pop festival is currently going through its planning, and the venues can include top cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Shillong, etc to name some.

South Korean entertainment company HYBE is behind the upcoming development, and there can be performances by the high-octane K-pop groups including BTS, ENHYPEN, and TXT. Sources have confirmed that there will be Indian acts as well, adding more familiarity to the diversity. It is going to be the biggest K-pop festival in India that the country has never hosted before.

Although the dates, venues, or any other details have not been officially announced by HYBE yet, the possibility of the K-pop mega festival taking place in India is quite high, with a huge demand among the Indian fans who are very into Korean culture. Starting from fashion, beauty products, food, and entertainment, the increasing influence of Korean culture in India can be seen everywhere.

The relationship between India and South Korea is growing stronger with the President of South Korea, Lee Jae-myung, visiting India in April 2026. Along with a strategic partnership, both countries are also embracing the entertainment sector, which puts a wider influence on the citizens. The South Korean President has brought attention to a new plan to build the Mumbai Korea Centre, which can become a hub for K-pop festivals and Korean cultural activities in the future.

The idea of the Mega K-pop festival is gaining more attention as the South Korean entertainment companies, namely SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, YG Entertainment and HYBE, have joined forces for ‘Fanomenon’. It is the latest model for large-scale K-pop festivals that also celebrates Korean culture through food, merchandise, and other media. This Mega Festival is ready to take place in Seoul and Goyang in December 2027. There will be fandom award ceremonies along with cultural programs and exhibitions. An LA version of the Mega Festival is scheduled to take place in 2028.

It is not confirmed yet whether the upcoming K-pop festival in India will be a part of the ‘Fanomenon’ or not. However, the developments suggest that the two events could be connected. In America, K-pop fans have already witnessed a large-scale event with KCON, with multiple K-pop acts and a cultural celebration. The UK has also hosted something similar, like HallyuPopFest, which was specially designed for the fans.

The news of the K-pop mega festival is growing stronger with HYBE India launching a talent audition in Shillong in September for an upcoming girl-group development. The audition will take place in 10 cities, and applications have already been submitted from all over the country.
