Alex Warren Joins Ed Sheeran on His Loop Tour in San Diego

The ‘Ordinary’ duo is back, with Alex Warren teaming up with Ed Sheeran on stage at the Petco Park performance in San Diego. Check out the complete set list for the event.  

Alex Warren reunites with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran while he was performing in San Diego for his Loop Tour. The concert took place at Petco Park, and Sheeran brought out Warren on stage for the duet performance of “Ordinary,” which he performed near the end of the concert. Fans were quite delighted by this surprise, and it is one of the most memorable moments from the tour.

Alex Warren is highly inspired by Ed Sheeran, and the artist names Sheeran as his creative influence. The fan boy finally met his idol at Coachella in 2025, where they performed the song “Ordinary” together on stage and also at Old Phone Pub pop-up set by Sheeran. Ed also said, “There’s like one song every year that blows my socks off, and it’s this one,” while talking about the song “Ordinary” through his Instagram post.

After that, Warren has stayed in connection with Ed Shreeran, who helps him in his creative exploration like a big brother. The duo performed “Ordinary” again at the San Diego performance last night, which took place at the final A Stage portion of the set. Before they performed his breakthrough hit on stage, the crowd offered a loud cheer showing support for the rising artist. Irish folk band Beoga backed them with an engaging and improvised soundscape.

With the fans’ requests, Ed also performed “Sunburn,” which is quite rare as the artist has never performed this bonus track since 2021, which appeared in the deluxe edition of his debut album project. Sheeran made sure to offer consistent performance for the fans by constantly switching between the A and B stages at the venue. Beoga has offered the musical support and made this six-song run more enticing in the middle of the show.
