Born in Pula, Croatia, Hauser’s musical roots lie in his family as his mother was a percussionist herself. Finishing his musical education in Croatia, he completed his higher studies at the Trinity College of Music in London and got exposed to other talented music artists as well. Nurturing his skills as a cellist, he slowly became one of the finest musicians from his batch who played in more than 40 countries while making debut performances at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Southbank Centre, and many other places.

Musical Contributions

Throughout his prolific music career, Hauser collaborated with numerous music artists and added a creative layer with his sheer skills and individuality. However, the meteoric rise of his came after the establishment of 2CELLOS, and his united effort with friend Luka Šulić; another versatile cellist. They recorded an album with Sony Music Entertainment, that was released in 2011. With the buzz in the industry, they soon appeared for a featured performance in Fox’s hit TV series Glee, where they covered MJ’s ‘Smooth Criminal’. With this performance, they soon landed on the Top 100 and debuted at mo.10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Digital Songs Chart.

Soon after 2CELLOS’ fame went higher up with rocket fuel and they released many albums. Hauser used to perform for both the cello project and sometimes with Elton John as well. Hauser received the Ribbon of an Order of Danica Hrvatska with the face of Marko Marulić for the promotion of his nation Croatia through his contributions to art and culture. He has also won numerous competitions as a laureate such as the J & A Beare Solo Bach Competition 2009, PLG Young Artists Auditions 2009, NYOS Staffa Award 2009, Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra Young Soloist Competition 2009 and 2007, International Young Concert Artists Competition 2008 and 2006, Adam International Cello Festival and Competition in New Zealand 2009, and the list goes on.

He has won a total of 21 first prizes at national and international competitions till now and as a result; he is often invited to perform at gala concerts for HRH Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Palace. The royal and grandiose essence of his musical creations has spread over the world with each successful project and performance.
