(DailyMusicRoll Editorial):- Milano, Lombardia Jun 12, 2021 (Issuewire.com) – A few months after the release of the previous Cry Me A River, which has received several positive opinions among the public and insiders, Misantrophia is pleased today to present their new single: Boogeyman.
The song was born after that the band decided to change the genre from a nu-metal/rapcore with lyrics in Italian to metalcore sung in English: a leap in the dark, full of uncertainties that are proving, over time, confirmations of what had been set up good in previous years.
Boogeyman was mixed and mastered by Davide “HVZE” Aroldi.
Regarding the theme of the song, Enne, the frontman, declares: “Boogeyman is about the dark side that is inside each one of us, hidden in the pillow folds, that assaults us when we feel safe. The song expresses the sense of being able to internalize this and knowing how to distinguish right from wrong. It has a connection to our previous single, Cry Me a River, and to the other songs I’ve been writing in these last months, it’s a period of analysis towards every aspect of the human mind, mine especially.“

Regarding the video, Enne adds: “Finally we were able to get together to shoot it, for the previous song it had been impossible because of the pandemic. The locations were all set up by us in one day, as well as the plot is the result of our inventiveness. We love being able to curate every aspect of our art, so it feels, even more, our own.“
Misantrophia is a metalcore band born in 2015 in the province of Brescia. The band is composed of Matteo “Enne” Truppa on vocals, Matteo “TK” Turla on guitar and synth, Ruben Magri on drums, and Paolo Zamboni on bass.
