The history and legacy of the Beatles have been one of the most enigmatic segments of the history of pop music. And this legendary band is coming with The Last Beatles Record”. Artificial intelligence has made it possible to extract John Lennon’s voice from several old demos and this record has been made possible due to the advancement of technology and at least in this way, they have managed to bring back the group together once again after this much long time.

Paul McCartney told the media that the technology has been used to “extricate” Lennon’s voice to complete this venture, he added, “We just finished it up and it’ll be released this year.” Yet McCartney has kept the name of the song away from media yet the excitement of this release is surely making all Beatles fans around the globe thrilled with the news. But in his time with the media, he has shared that this is going to be one of Lennon’s compositions from 1978. And the composition is called ‘Now and Then’.

The world is already anticipating this to be the much-desired ‘reunion song’. Last year McCartney received the demo from Yoko Ono, Lennon’s widow. It was one of the several records that were labeled as “For Paul” made by Lennon in 1980 shortly before his death. The number is Lo-fi and still embryonic, yet it was recorded largely onto a boombox along with concoctions of sat-down piano vibes.

Their producer Jeff Lynne released ‘Free As A Bird’ and ‘Real Love’ in 1995 and 1996, marking these tracks as “The Beatles’ first “new” material in 25 years. In between this time, the band tried to reunite and record something new but the attempts were in vain and interrupted by several things. And they also tried to materialize the composition ‘Now and Then’, an apologetic love song, a typical Lennon venture that remained unheard till now. But the sessions were soon abandoned.

McCartney also shared that George Harrison refused to work on this number and said that the sound quality of Lennon’s vocals was “Rubbish”. It is only justified that recreating the enigma of Lennon’s voice can be extremely hard. Yet McCartney’s desire to finish the track has kept the project and now has succeeded and soon the world will be able to hear Lennon once again.
