Zubeen Garg’s Fans Gather Outside His Residence in Assam to Celebrate His Birth Anniversary

The people of Assam came together on the occasion of Zubeen Garg’s 53^rd birth anniversary. On the 18^th November, the people of the state came to remember their icon who died recently on 19^th September this year. It was the very first birthday after his death, and fans couldn’t hold back their emotions. It came to see that after Monday midnight, people started gathering outside his residence in Kahilipara.

Fans even came up with a cake and placed it in front of his photo. His wife, GarimaSaikia Garg, and his sister, PalmeeBorthakur, were also there and watched. His fans sang the birthday song to remember the singer and a few of his popular soundtracks. Zubeen’s demise was quite shocking for everyone, and people still do not believe that the singer has gone forever. He was one of the most prestigious artists in his state and the whole country. So, when he died, it was a great loss for everyone.

On Tuesday, a 20-kilogram cake was brought to his house, which was unveiled by his wife and his father. Along with that, it is also seen that since Monday night, many people have been visiting his cremation site. They came up with flowers, gamosas, and lit lamps. The CM of Assam, HimantaBiswaSarma, also paid tribute by writing ‘Some presence fades from sight but shines brighter in memory’. Other than this, in another post, he stated, ‘Today, we honour the enduring legacy of an artist who was, will and forever be our heartthrob. That of our #BelovedZubeen. Forever in our hearts’.

Apart from his fans arranging an event for his birthday, political parties also came forward. Across the state, there were multiple events that took place just because of his birth anniversary. Bharatiya Janata Party, the ruling political party, organised a total of 53 blood donation camps. On the other hand, Congress organised an event named ‘Kanchanjunga- SanskritiHoukMaitreyir Mantra’ in the Panjabari. They described the event as ‘remembrance, reverence and collective reflection’. At this event, Gaurav Gogoi, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president, was also present.

Zubeen Garg had a phenomenal journey as a music artist. He has sung over 38000 soundtracks in 40 different languages. He has made a huge impact on several industries with his songs. Thus, as he has gone forever, it is obvious for people to mourn.
