Music has always been an integral part of people’s healing journeys, where songs can provide a sense of warmth and comfort that no art form can give. Taking this feeling to the next level, Filipina American singer-songwriter Frances Ancheta has recently released her new album. She is a type of musician whose music carries the heart of her story, and her latest work is living proof of that. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, she was surrounded by multicultural influences that shaped her sound. She is also someone who writes with honesty, blending folk, acoustic, and soulful elements into songs that will touch your heart. The latest example of her soul-touching work is ‘Saving Graces’, available on YouTube.
The album comprises nine songs, which all individually carry different meanings and production, giving proof of her creativity and versatility. This album is a moving collection that reflects the truths of survival and celebration. The production of the album is both peppy, soft, and warm, which instantly draws the listeners into her world. The album explores the themes of love and resilience when it comes to lyrics. However, what makes these songs so relatable is how her vocals are steady and carry emotions at the same time. Some of the songs from the album that are already fan-favorites are ‘In Time of My Need’, ‘The Place Where I Need to Be’, ‘Self Love’, ‘No More Judgements’, etc. You can listen to them on YouTube and Spotify.
