1.Rosé and Hawaiian Pizza

Rosé

Pineapple as a topping on pizza has been a withstanding discussion on social media for years now. Many people prefer the taste of pineapple as their Italian delicacy, while others pose a side eye to it. People who go against it, their main argument is that it is not real Italian food. However, people who tend to enjoy it view it as their own custom to the food which is allowed to be consumed in any way they like. These people enjoy the sweet and savory combination of pineapple with cheese and ham. Rosé, the second youngest member of the group, seems to be siding with people who are in absolute love with Hawaiian pizza. She once said, “I really like Hawaiian pizza with pineapples“. When another fan asked Jisso, another member of the group about her choice of pineapple as a topping, she replied, “It would be better if it was not warm pineapple” on Weverse. So it seems like both Rosé and Jisoo side with Hawaiian pizza when it comes to preference.

2. The real meaning of BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK

Have you ever wondered why the name of the group is BLACKPINK? Especially when the colors go the absolute opposite of each other? To any average Joe, the name BLACKPINK means the combination of two very different colors that if worn together would look cute. Well, is it the only reason the band chose this name to be their stage name? There is however a deeper meaning to why this YG Entertainment group chose these two colors. According to a 2017 radio interview, the group’s tentative name was initially “Pink Punk.” This name was given to the group by YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk which was later changed to BLACKPINK. In 2016, it was revealed that the reason why this particular name stuck with the group was because the group wanted to dismantle the idea of pink being connected to being pretty. The group disclosed that pink previously was only used to display politeness and beauty. So they took the color and added it with black to display that pink does not only mean pretty, but it also shows incredible hard work and talent. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2020, Rosé explained, “It kind of felt like those two colors represented us the most ’cause we’re very girly but at the same time we’re very savage too.”

The third member is Lisa whose real name is LalisaManobal (also spelled Manoban). Lisa is also the one who was not born in South Korea, but in Buriram, Thailand on March 27, 1997. Now for the fourth and last member of the group, Rosé, her real name is Roseanne Park, and her Korean name is Park Chae-young. She is also another member who was originally born outside of South Korea, in Auckland, New Zealand on February 11, 1997. Among the four, Jisoo is the youngest one.

All four of the group’s members are equally eye-catching and insanely talented. However, if we ask the fans about their favorites in BLACKPINK, some of them will slightly turn towards Lisa. so there is little doubt about why Lisa is one of the main and most popular girls out of the four. She has a distinctive style that makes her hardcore raps even more captivating. But was she always this good? Turns out, yes, she absolutely was. In Thailand, in 2010, YG Entertainment took its audition where the 13-year-old Lisa came, and conquered. She was so good in the audition that she ended up being the winner that day. At the same time, this Thai singer and actress also became the only candidate selected by YG Entertainment at that time, being the first non-Korean artist to work at YG. We can only say one thing about this, Lisa ate and left no crumbs!

Given how popular BLACKPINK is around the globe, it is not shocking that this group has also got its own television show. BLACKPINK

Well, when the idea of the group was initially formed, there were supposed to be nine members of BLACKPINK. This was finalized as the group consisting of nine members started preparing for their debut in 2016, but soon the plan was canceled. YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun-Suk decided to cut the members back to just four of them whom we know today and love admirably. Quite interestingly, one of the core nine members was (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon who was just a trainee back then. None really knows why she was cut back then, but fans guess it might be due to the fact that she broke the “no dating rule” during a trip to Japan. We might never know the reason for sure, nor understand it, but we are just thankful that Miyeon had her own successful debut as part of (G)I-DLE.
