Find out what happened at the Falcon Festival 2025, which took place in Umrangso in Assam. This is the first time ever for Shilpa to perform at the Blue Paradise of Assam.

Starting from the locals to travelers, tourists, and campers, everyone joined the festival, and it turned into a magical night. The venue was completely packed, and the crowd was chanting “Shilpa jaldi aao,” and they also sang along through her set. It is safe to say that the musical night was an enjoyable experience for all, which also turned emotional at some point, with the overwhelming response. Not just the fans, but it was also quite impactful for the artist herself.

Talking about the night of performances, Shilpa said, “This was our first ever trip to Umrangso, and while I’ve performed in Assam many times, this place was truly special. It’s pure, it’s clean, and the scenic beauty of the Dima Hasao hills is breathtaking. Singing here was absolutely sublime — a mix of locals and people travelling from outside, some camping, all singing together. When they sang Barbaad, Besharam Rang and Bulleya with me, it felt like the entire hills were reverberating with my songs. I’m leaving a part of my heart here, and I truly hope we come back again.”
Falcon Festival is one of India’s most distinguishable cultural gatherings that strengthened its value with national embrace. While North-east India is often neglected by the media and the government of India, the states are slowly making their way up to national and international recognition. The festival is just about music, but it also includes indigenous identity and environmental consciousness, which should be present among every Indian. The festival is focused on the conservation of the migratory Amur Falcon, and this cultural gathering marks the progress of the country that paves the way for the conservation of nature and culture.
