Vvs1

  • What made you think of music as a career option and when did you take the plunge in the music scene?

I have always had a passion for music and was grabbing the mic from 12years old in and around Cyprus. 1999 is the year I joined So Solid and that is when my career started.

  • Was it a bit of toil when you started or it has been smooth sailing from the beginning and you understood the tricks of the trade very early?

It has not been smooth sailing, it has been a bit of a rough ride that I managed to get a grip of and overcome the full waves in this industry. I took time out to concentrate on myself and it took a very long time for me to realize my full potential. It has taken me years to master my craft, I was close to giving up a few times but now with the right team and my own label I am ready to continue what I started all those years ago.

  • Why are you attracted to the genre of hip hop so much? Do you got inspired by iconic legends when you were young?

I am not just attracted to HipHop, I am a versatile artist who can fit into all genre’s as I feed off the beat presented to me at the time – I am open to all types of music which are thoroughly demonstrated in my next few single releases, I rap, I sing, I talk and I lay lyrics on every beat that I feel I can connect with.

  • Who is the biggest influence in your life? Was it someone close to you among your friends and family or somebody from the hip hop music industry?

I had no major influences as I am attracted to all kinds of music including Greek which I also perform as I am Cypriot. I learned different styles and flows by listening to all the great artists of my era such as 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Jay Z, and many more.

  • Are you happy with the way things have shaped up in your career or do you think that there is still something left to be achieved?

I am just getting started on my solo career and have found that I have the power to make things happen my way and I am blessed to have a great team working with me on this as we do everything in-house. I have just released 2 tracks in 2 weeks and we are about to release a 3rd track by the beginning of February which is set to be an official chart banger that will be played by all ages of all different music genres – I have a lot in the pipeline including live shows to be broadcast digitally worldwide and a European tour by end of the year if permitted due to Covid. I have a lot left to achieve as this is the real start of my musical journey

  • Are you a go-getter of sorts as a person or do you have a laid-back and effortless approach that has more elegance?

I am definitely a go-getter, I like to get the job done then I can relax, reflect, chill and think of ways how to make the next project/release even better than the last learning along the way.

  • How do you relax when you have some time to spend with your close ones? Do you go for a vacay or are you a very private person?

I am a very private person that likes to spend time with his family and close friends, I like to travel and see the world and take time out reflecting on all the good things that life has to offer us all, appreciating every move make & take along the way.

  • Are there any other genres other than hip hop and R&B that excites you the most? If so, could you cite the reasons why?

As an artist I get excited about every genre of music, as I stated before I cover all kinds of beats and tracks I do not just stick to one genre even though I rap most of the time, I am in love with the music itself at that time.

  • Do you want to meet any idols from yesteryears if you are given a chance to turn back the clock? If so, could you please name the icon that you venerate more than anyone else?

I would like to meet 2pac as we both send out messages in our songs, we are both Gemini’s and have a love of acting and would like to heal and help others using our music and opportunities that we are given. I love to give back and help others.

  • Are you happy with the way things are happening in your music industry? If not, do you suggest any positive changes that could bring about a marked difference?

I believe in organic exposure of music, if the music is good and people like it then it should make a statement on its own. No one should be controlling which tracks are hot or not apart from the supporters and fans that listen to the music, support the artists, and buy their music. People now pay for lies, views, and celebrities and influencers to endorse their music which should not be allowed. If someone really likes you and your work they should promote and support naturally anyway they should not be paid. There was a time when the music itself held the power & I believe it’s time for that to come back.

  • Did you find some time to introspect while the lockdown happened because of covid-19? Or, did you got stressed by the entire situation?

When covid-19 started I was already living in these isolated conditions as I have been keeping myself to myself working in my studio with my label partner C4 and coming up with some big tracks and lyrics for everyone to enjoy out there. I was already working on myself spiritually & artistically. Covid-19 has not been the end for me, in fact, it is just the beginning!

  • Which is your favorite arena where you want to give your best shot as a live performer? Can you cite any particular reasons for that?

I would love to perform at O2 Arena London because of the 20,000 capacity which is massive for an artist and because of the energy that is created at the venue itself. I can actually go to town on live stage shows there and make all my dreams & visions come true by putting out one of the best live performances ut there with everything I need in one place.
