Doja Cat has announced some great news for her fans! Her fifth studio album has a release date, and it is coming out on 26 September 2025. The album is called ‘Vie’ and the artist has described the album to be a “pop-driven” record. The artist further stated that the music will have a heavy influence from the 1980s sounds, with mixing elements from retrofuturism, pop, and romance. In an earlier interview with V Magazine, the artist said, “I know that I can make pop music, and pop is just that it’s popular. It starts to become a bit of a thing that’s viewed as a sport by people who are just bystanders to it, who enjoy it, but maybe also don’t respect it or what it is, which is just music … They see it as if this is some kind of football for girls and gays.”

Along with the album announcement, Doja also announced the release of her new single, ‘Jealous Type’. The song is reportedly the lead single from her upcoming album and was released on 21st August. It is produced by Jack Antonoff and Y2K, and has a blend of disco-pop and funk-pop influences in its composition. Previously, the singer previewed the single at the Outside Lands festival live. Here, she also allowed audiences to see her performances on other unreleased songs, ‘Cards’ and ‘Take Me Dancing’.
