The 64th Grammy Award 2022 has been officially postponed due to the massive spread of Omicron and the new date has not been confirmed yet.

The show was confirmed to be held on 31st January but it will be too risky for everyone to attend the show at this circumstance as the authorities reported.

It’s been two years in a row that this prestigious show is being postponed. Last year it was postponed by six weeks and held in March. But this year looking at the scenario of the current situation the authorities are saying that it would be best to hold the show later in the year.

As per the sources the show might hold in April or May at the same venue Crypto.com Arena. But according to the schedule of the venue, it is not going to open until June or later. So the venue of the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas is also a possibility.

The health of the live audience and music community is the top priority of the producers, and now holding the show contains too many risks, so the authorities said that they are looking forward to celebrating the biggest night of music and announcing the date of the show soon.

Like the Grammy other events are also rescheduling their dates. Like the Pre-Grammy Gala is planning to schedule the date before the night of the rescheduled Grammy ceremony.

The host Trevor Noah ‘The Daily Show’ host is still scheduled for the Grammy this year.

In the previous year, the show was held in a different manner. It took place in a rotational group of nominees, and the rotation changed every 45 minutes. The show featured pre-recorded performances of Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, BTS, Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, Silk Sonic, Cardi B, and more.

This year the nominees are followed by Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, H.E.R., Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and many more.

The Weekend has boycotted the Grammys but the Recording Academy said that this behavior of the star didn’t offend them. The star has said that he is not submitting his music in the future at award shows for disrespecting his album ‘After Hours’ in the 2021 ceremony.

And on the other hand, Drake was in the nominations for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance this year but he has withdrawn his nomination and it is not clear till now that why he has removed himself from the nomination.
