in the history of Indian music, Lata Mangeshkar plays a significant role. she has given some of the most beautiful songs that are going to stay with everyone forever. her captivating vocal prowess was not only known in the country but across the world. she was truly a gem and losing her is a big loss for the country’s music industry.

renowned actress, Poonam Dhillon also remembered the singer on this special occasion. she talked about Lata Mangeshkar’s association with Hindi cinema. she spoke about Lata ji while attending the ‘Surila Safar-30: An Evening of Bollywood Melodies’ at Tagore Theatre. Dhillon was speaking to IANS at the event and recalled her early years in the film industry. in many of her films, Lata Mangeshkar’s voice was a part of them. she stated that Lata Mangeshgar sung in most of her movies. she even said that the singer’s contribution to the movie was really massive.

in Hindi cinema, Lata Mangeshkar holds a very special place. Everyone remembers her for her spectacular singing ability. Dhillon even said that it was truly a happy moment because she was being remembered at a musical event. she also stated ‘Lata ji is very dear to all of us. Without her, the music of Hindi films would have been incomplete. It is a great thing that she is being honoured and remembered here. And that too in my lovely Tagore Theatre. It is a great joy for me’. after that, she even added, ‘I have done hundreds of films. Except for one or two films, she has sung in all of them. All of her songs are one of the best. They are very beautiful songs’.

Lata Mangeshkar was born on 28th September in 1929 and passed away in 2022 in Mumbai. it would have been her 97th birthday and that is everyone is remembering her for the brilliant contribution in the history of Indian music.
