Diljit Dosanjh is Banned for Casting Pak Actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3

Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming movie ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ falls into the pit of great controversy as Pakistani actress Hania Aamir is co-starring in this movie. The film body has sent an official directive to ban the film as well as the producers which also includes Diljit. The film is currently facing backlash before its release.

The backlash started quite early after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam which tensed the situation between India and Pakistan. The makers of the film have already skipped an Indian release date due to this war situation which has stabilized now. However, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) is not willing to make any compromises and asks for a ban on the film rather than delaying its release.

The President of FWICE, BN Tiwari has revealed that they are willing to issue an official directive to ban not only the film but also Diljit Dosanjh and all the Indian film producers involved in the project. He added, “None of their films and projects would be allowed to be released in India. There would be complete cooperation from the Indian film industry.” An official statement is also about to be released regarding the ban on the project and artists in it.

The India-Pakistan tensions are still ongoing and the ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ will not be screened amid this situation. The situation escalated as Diljit Dosanjh shared the trailer of the movie through social media and announced the release date on Sunday, June 22.

However, the co-producer of the film, Gunbir Singh Sidhu tactfully handled the situation and said, “Although our film was shot well before the India Pakistan conflict, we are not releasing the film in India keeping in mind the present situation and sentiments of India and Indian people.” In confirms the fact that they are still trying to find a good time and date of opportunity to make the release.

‘Sardaar Ji 3’ is a horror comedy movie that is all set to be released overseas only. The trailer for the movie is already geo-blocked on YouTube for Indian viewers. FWICE has absolutely zero tolerance for Pakistani actors as they have also banned ‘Abir Gulaal’ which is a Hindi movie where the cast includes Pakistani actor Fawad Khan who is coming to Bollywood after nine long years. It is evident now how war politics and hatred can influence the film industry.
